This is NOT Louis Brouillard

Another image on ancestry.com purporting to be a Brouillard, this one supposedly of Louis Brouillard (b. c. 1644):



Its not.  Its actually Henry McKenzie, painted by Sir Henry Raeburn. The original hangs in the National Portrait Gallery in London.

    I agree and wondering if you have the book, in French on Brouillard family tree in Quebec. I do. But tree is sketchy, and finding a portrait woul be nice,. I am on FB, first name at domain muse magic. Interested in the ancestry since direct descendant.

    I have not seen that book. I would recommend checking wikitree for good lineage. I don't know as there are any photos there, though.
